Privacy

Duely keeps only what it needs to remind you, keeps it in Australia (AWS Sydney region), and deletes all of it when you ask.

What we store

• Your email address, to sign you in and, if you choose, to email reminders.
• Your Canvas calendar feed link, stored encrypted and readable only by the job that checks your calendar. It is never shown again, logged, or shared.
• Your upcoming assignments (title, course, due date, link): what we read from your feed, so we know what has changed and what we have already reminded you about. Each is deleted automatically 30 days after it is due.
• Your settings: where and when to remind you, and your private phone-notification topic.
• If you use Apple Reminders, a scrambled (hashed) copy of your Shortcut token. We can check it but cannot read it.
• If you connect Microsoft To Do, a Microsoft access token that lets us create and update tasks in your To Do (nothing else in your Microsoft account), stored encrypted. Disconnecting or deleting your account removes it; you can also revoke it at account.live.com/consent/Manage.
• If you connect Todoist, a Todoist access token that lets us create and update tasks, stored encrypted. Disconnecting or deleting your account removes it; you can also revoke it in Todoist under Settings → Integrations.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your data, show ads, or use it for anything except your reminders.
• We never see your Canvas password and can't change anything in Canvas. The feed link is read-only.

Who else handles it

• Amazon Web Services (Sydney) runs the service and stores the data.
• ntfy.sh delivers phone notifications if you choose them. They contain the assignment name and due date.
• Microsoft stores the To Do tasks we create for you, if you connect it.
• Todoist stores the tasks we create for you, if you connect it.
• TickTick stores the tasks we create for you, if you connect it.

Deleting your data

Sign in and choose Delete my account at the bottom of your dashboard. That deletes everything above, plus your sign-in, immediately. You can also reset your feed link in Canvas (Calendar → Calendar Feed) at any time, which makes the old link stop working.
